Japanese fabric for SASHIKO made of 100% cotton. Indigo blue on both sides.

The Olympus brand has created this ingenious fabric, which has a printed grid, to serve as a guide for your SASHIKO work. Once you have finished the design you wish to embroider, you will have to wash it, and the pre-printed dots will vanish.

DO NOT WASH THIS FABRIC BEFORE USE, as the pre-printed stitch pattern will disappear after washing.

ATTENTION, MINIMUM WORKING AREA (with printed grid): 50cmx52cm

This fabric is perfect for sashiko embroidery. Use it in conjunction with our sashiko threads, needles and thimbles.

With this fabric, you can use traditional sashiko designs, or create your own. You can make furosikis, cushions, hana-fukin (small cloths), bags and why not, a jacket-kimono (haori).

The price shown is price per unit. If you order more than one unit, and even quantities, they will be sent in continuous pieces with a width of approx. 112 cm. If you order odd quantities, a continuous piece of even quantity + a fat quarter can be sent.

Once embroidered, wash it by hand with mild detergent, so that it lasts a long time. Do not use bleach or whiteners, iron at a low temperature.

Cotton fabrics may shrink up to 5%. Do not wash before use.
