Japanese fabric Rustic Indigo: 'Tonbo' (Dragonfly)
(€19.00 por metro)
JJapanese cotton fabric Rustic Indigo: 'Tonbo' (Dragonfly)
Japanese 100% cotton fabric.
The motif is formed by rows of dragonflies (tonbo) arranged alternately, forming a checkerboard. The dragonflies are drawn in very light ivory, almost white, on a deep indigo blue background.
Flat fabric made with slightly thick threads, resulting in a lightly open fabric, with some transparency and good drape. This arrangement and thickness of threads transmits a touch of rustic, traditional fabric, reminiscent of those woven by hand. This gives name to this series: "Rustic Indigo"
Perfect, for example, for a kimono cut jacket.
Idea: You can mix different prints from this series with fabrics from your favorite old jeans, and give them a second life in the form of a jacket, bag, or patch them up using the sashiko technique. If you need sashiko needles and threads, you can find them HERE
