Creative kokeshi doll carved in wood "Yumekomori".

This kokeshi represents a mother cradling her child in her arms. Yume means "dream" and Komori is the person who takes care of a child, her mother, in this case.

This kokeshi is decorated with cherry blossoms, reminding us of the beauty of the ephemeral, like that moment when the mother holds her newborn baby in her arms.

The background of the kimono is delicate pearl pink.

It is accompanied by a wooden plaque with "Yumekomori" written in Kanji, as well as the signature of the craftsman.

A beautiful textured surface is got by drawing the lines with the pyro-engraving technique.

  • Origin: Japón
  • Length (cm): 7 cm
  • Material: Mizuki Wood.

Avoid exposing your kokeshi to the direct solar radiation, to prevent colors from fading.
