Japanese fabric in dobby printed in 100% cotton.

The dobby is a cotton fabric weaved with uneven threads, which gives it a unique touch.

The irregular weft creates a textured surface, that resembles the tsumugi silk (also known as raw silk) weaved with the threads obtained from the very end of the silk cocoon,  so that thickness differs from one to another.

We love this uneven fabric, as it completely fits in Japanese aesthetic tradition of finding beauty in imperfection (wabi-sabi)

The pattern depicts Fuji-san in turquoise, with its recognizable snowy peak, and some clouds and red suns here and there, over a blue navy background.

One unit is 50 cm long (x 110cm wide). If you need for instance 1 m, you will have to order 2 units. They will be sent in one continuous piece.

Turn inside out for washing in cold water. Don’t use bleach or bleachers, nor tumble-drier. Iron at low temperature.

Wash your fabric before using it. Cotton fabrics can shrink up to 5%.
