An asanoha pattern, graphic representation of the cane leafs.

The Kasuri technique is a very laborious technique, used for centuries to obtain fabrics of an indigo blue color with repetitive motifs. For this, the threads to be used were tied following a different pattern according to the final motif one wished to obtain, and they were died in successive baths of indigo until you had that characteristic deep blue color. Afterwards, expert weavers worked the fabric in motifs more or less complex according to their level of experience.
