60CM UNIT. Japanese fabric "Heian Hime" with black background.

Japanese 100% cotton fabric. Fantasy in this fabric with peonies, sakura, clouds and golden streams...., among which we find the figure of a princess from the Heian period (Heian Hime), with gold outlines.

In the Heian Era (794-1185), ladies wore a complex kimono called Junihitoe, or twelve-layered kimono. The overlapping layers, which could weigh up to 20 kilos, were combined in different colours, depending on the season and the rank of the lady wearing it. 

Also characteristic was the very long, straight, flowing hair, with two slightly shorter sections framing the face.

The pattern on this fabric will give you the opportunity to create incredible garments, accessories, or simply to frame it and enjoy it as a decoration.

Wash it in a washing machine at low temperature, delicate cycle, inside out, so it lasts longer. Don’t use bleach or bleachers, a soft spin-dry cycle, iron at low temperature.

It’s recommended you to wash it before use. Cotton fabrics can shrink up to 5%.
