Chuka soba japanese bowl 'takokarakusa'
Japanese ceramic bowl decorated with the motif known as 'takokarakusa'. This motif evokes the tentacles of an octopus (tako), which form an intricate arabesque (Karakusa).
With a diameter of 8.5 cm at the top and a height of 6.5 cm, this type of bowl is used in summer to eat "chuka soba". In this seasonal recipe, cold buckwheat noodles are prepared and soaked in a bowl with light sauce just before eating.
Because of its size, you can also use it to drink herbal teas, or as a bowl for desserts and ice cream, etc.
The surface of the noodles is uneven, and the inside of the noodles is ridged.
