Tairyou-bata flag, in printed cotton These flags were used by Japanese fishermen when they had a good catch, to inform those on land waiting for them. Today it is common to see them at festivals and events, as well as in some coastal locations in Japan.

Thus, their design in these fishermen's flags was always very colorful, so that they could be seen from afar. In this case the background is bright red.

On the flag, the kanjis that announce this great capture are included, as well as other elements that bring good fortune: The golden (tai), the crane (tsuru), the turtle (kikko), Mount Fuji and several plant elements, also auspicious (pine, bamboo, plum blossom).

You can use it as a decorative panel, curtain, headboard, giant cushion, tablecloth, and a thousand other things.

The piece is delivered cut, without hem. If you want us to finish it off for you, add the "furoshiki hem 100cm" to your cart, and we'll hem it all around your flag.
