Lightweight fabric in a cotton (80%) and silk (20%) mix. Caressing touch and wonderful drape for this Japanese fabric.

Naomi ITO is a renowned Japanese watercolorist and designer. Her collaborations with the textile sector have resulted in the NANI IRO line (Nani, is the word for "beautiful" in Hawaii, and Iro means "color" in Japanese), with spectacular motifs, such as this "Lei Nani".

Nani Iro is known for its careful design, and for the quality of its fabrics. Always innovating as to the type of fabric, or mixture of components, this is the first fabric they launch in a mixture of cotton and silk. Cotton contributes its naturalness and freshness, and silk, the drape, the very soft touch and the delicate aspect.

'Like flowers braided to form a welcome wreath, or Lei. I called this fabric 'Lei Nani' evoking the Hawaiian word for "beautiful flower garland'.

- Naomi ITO
