Japanese fabric in dobby printed in 100% cotton.

The dobby is a cotton fabric weaved with uneven threads, which gives it a unique touch.

The irregular weft creates a textured surface, that resembles the tsumugi silk (also known as raw silk) weaved with the threads obtained from the very end of the silk cocoon,  so that thickness differs from one to another.

We love this uneven fabric, as it completely fits in Japanese aesthetic tradition of finding beauty in imperfection (wabi-sabi)

The pattern is a traditional "karakusa" (arabesque) motif, which by means of vine branches symbolizes the desire to expand our relationships. Here it is combined with fun cat heads (Neko), in black and white.
