The NANAO candle set is named after the city where it is manufactured. One by one. Slowly. By hand.

The city of Nanao is located in the Noto Peninsula, open to the Sea of Japan. The proximity of the sea and the mountains makes it easy to feel a special connection with Nature.

The Nanao set contains five different candles. Each one has a different shape; each one evoking a plant that grows in the Noto Peninsula.

Thus, they have been given a name: the first is called "P", the second "L"... and so on, up to the fifth, so that together they make up the word "PLANT".

Each Nanao candle is made from sumac wax, also called "Wax Tree".

The wick, hand-made from washi paper and dried reed, is hollow. As a result, oxygen can rise inside the candle, and the flame that is produced is larger and brighter than usual.

The Japanese firm Takazawa has been transforming the gifts that plants give us into Japanese candles to illuminate our best moments for over a century.

When you give away one of their candles, you are not giving away an object, but time, the moments lived in the light of that candle.

That's why we tell you how long each one lasts, so that you can decide whether to offer a coffee with a friend, a relaxing bath, a quiet reading, or a family dinner.

The duration of the NANAO candles, between 110 and 130 minutes, makes them perfect for a lunch or dinner with your loved ones.

Nanao candles, due to the characteristics of Sumac wax, can change colour over time, from a soft olive green, to a linen colour.

They are presented in a box with clean and simple lines, with a naïf touch, in grey cardboard.
