Michiyuki (kimono coat) vintage ‘Shibori’ in red velvet

Vintage Michiyuki in velvet. Wrap-around cut, fantastic drape and hand-dyed by hand, make this garment unique and one-of-a-kind. 

The motif that decorates this michiyuki are irregular circles, made with the shibori technique. To make a shibori motif, a reserve is made in the fabric, after which it is dyed. After dyeing, when the reserve is removed, the pattern is revealed. 

The background is evocative of the colours of fire: a mixture of red, burgundy and amber.

Michiyuki usually have a square neck. The originality of this one is that it has a rounded collar with flaps. It also has a hidden pocket in the central panel.

The condition of this garment is very good, with no defects or stains visible.

It will fit you perfectly if you are a size M (loose) or L (slightly more fitted, without being tight).
