Chiyogami paper, asanohas and golden dots over orange
Japanese chiyogami paper, asanohas and golden dots over an orange background
The asanoha leaf (麻の葉) (cane leaf) evokes the great resistance of this plant and the good fortune, like the one japonerías wants to bring you with this type of chiyogami. In this paper the asanoha is blurred over an orange background of red and yellow dots.
The washi paper made of long fibers is very flexible and resistant. It is machine made with kozo and sulfite fibers. Silk-screen printed later by hand in so many steps with colors.
Due to the production techniques, the full planks of washi chiyogami paper (of 97cmx65cm) have a frame of approximately 1cm in white. The specified dimensions refer to the printed part. The measurements as well as the weight are approximated, since they can lightly vary from one provider to another.
