Japanese fabric 'Hanamaru' off-white in cotton chirimen.

Light 100% cotton embossed fabric, to give it a crepe texture. Colorful motif of 'Hanamaru' circle of flowers, on an off-white background. 

The silk crepe (chirimen) was obtained by twisting the silk fibres while they were being interwoven. In this way, a fabric of exceptional drape and shine was obtained, but also very expensive.

In this fabric, the fine cotton is subjected to an embossing process. In that way, a light fabric is obtained, but with a soft relief that reminds us of crepe (or chirimen).  IMPORTANT! DO NOT wash with water, as the relief effect will be lost if it gets wet. Cleaning only by professionals.
