Katazome paper with colorful pattern of birds, leaves and waves.
Handmade washi paper decorated with the laborious technique 'katazome' in which some areas are covered with a paste of rice bran flour before dyeing the piece. Then the rice paste and the remains of dye are removed by washing, to proceed to the application of other colors.
This difficult and timeconsuming process results in some papers of unique texture, warm, rustic but delicate finish at the same time.
It will stand out for its touch and irregular edges, which show kozo fibers.
