Mustard yellow chiyogami yuzen paper. A wave pattern representing one of the most traditional motifs of the Edo period: samekomon, lines of small dots forming overlapping semicircles that remind us of the rough skin of a shark.

Washi paper with long, very flexible and resilient fibers, made by machine with Kozo fibers and sulphites. Then screen-printed by hand in as many steps as colors included in the design.

Due to production techniques, complete chiyogami washi paper sheets (of 97cmx65cm) have a framework of about 1 cm in white . The dimensions specified here refer to the printed side. The measures and weight are approximate, as they may vary slightly from one manufacturer to another.
