Kokeshi 'Ume' (Plum flower)

Creative kokeshi doll lathe-cut  in wood.

'Ume' has been named after the beautifully carved and painted Plum Flowers that decorate her elegant black kimono.

Ume flower is the first one that blooms in spring, so it represents the stregth to bloom, overcoming every difficulty.

The lines onf her kimono´s collar have been pyro-engraved.
